30 years seems to go by so fast! Tracy Chapman released her debut album on 4/5/88 and thus started a long and distinguished career that continues to this day.
I remember when this came out. I was working at a radio station who had it's on air studios in TJ Mexico, and I took down the vinyl and CD to those TJ studios to play it. We all knew Tracy was something special right from the start.
I had the chance to spend some time with Tracy in both San Diego and Atlanta at different points in her career. She has always been as kind and accommodating as you'd expect from such a sweet lady.
It's good to know she's still blessing us with great music and hopefully will for a long time to come...
