A carnival ride malfunctioned in the Philippines last month. It's called the Spider Cyclone. When it broke some large pieces to flew into the air and then a couple of the seats actually detached from the ride and bounced against the bottom. This could have been tragic, but fortunately the ride was stopped quickly and no one was seriously injured.
