Soon HBO will air a new documentary on the anniversary of the event:
"Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage" explores the music.. and the MAYHEM that was that year's version of Woodstock.
I was there. What I've seen so far of this documentary accurately depicts what started out as fun in the hot sun and ended up with violence and chaos.
My group made the smart decision to only attend the first two days. We knew on the second night how violent the crowd was starting to become. We knew the last day could be outright dangerous. So we went to Niagra Falls and watched the 3rd day violence on TV.
I'll write a review once I see the entire documentary, but so far I think they plan to tell the truth.
