5 years ago today was the end of an era. I bought my first new car in 2004: A PT Cruiser. It wasn't fancy, but the back seats came right out and I used it like a mini-van for over a dozen years and put a grand total of 207,000 miles on it before the engine finally gave it out.
My mechanic said he'd never seen a PT Cruiser go that many miles without an engine rebuild and or a transmission rebuild- so I guess I got my moneys worth.
I miss that car..it was big enough to carry 2 swing bikes, and yet got great mileage.
Chrysler no longer makes PT's but the were good little cars while they were around.
