Here's some great info from our friends at the City of Murrieta:
How cool is this?! Earlier this week, we shared about a special program through our Murrieta Public Library - Free Trees for Earth Day - that is sponsored by the nonprofit Neighborhood Forest. The Library team was hopeful this year we could beat our tree planting record with 300 trees requested. But after just ONE day of outreach, the Murrieta community has requested more than 325 trees!
Wait -- there's more exciting news! Instead of now needing to tell Murrieta youth that our program has reached its limit for the year, one of the founders of Neighborhood Forest is offering to cover the additional costs and see how many trees we can plant in Murrieta!
So this year, the sky's the limit for both our free tree planting program and the trees themselves. Let's show them what an amazing community we have and share this post with your Murrieta friends and neighbors. You have until Monday, February 28 to sign up for your child(ren).
