I have been a huge fan of ben harper since "Like A King" came out back in the 90's. I was fortunate to see him in smaller venues early in his career, and also at giant festivals later on.
It was a real treat to see not only how hugely popular Ben Harper has become, but alos that i got to see him up close at a great venue like The Belly Up in Solana Beach.
This show was part of a residency he did at the Belly Up with Charlie Musselwhite.
I have a much better phone cam now, but these photos (while kinda lousy) still help me relive the memory.
I've had the pleasure of interviewing Ben a couple of times and he is as genuine, and heartfelt and honest as you think he would be.
