Same Same But Different 2022 Review- The Rain & Wind Didn't Deny Attendees!

This year was my third time going to the festival and it was a testament to just how hard Brad Sweet and the organizing team worked to keep the festival going through incredibly overwhelming weather conditions!

For the record only 4 times has a hurricane come within 250 miles of the Southern California coast that caused some of the extreme weather conditions and the last time was in 1992! So to say that this is a RARE occurrence is an understatement. By my calculations there won't be another weekend weather challenge like this one until the year 2052!

The crew and staff was undeterred by this freak weather storm and did everything the could to make sure everything happened. The main stages did go off every night and Saturday was perfect all day and night.

The attendees also showed that great SSBD attitude of "let's just make this fun"- when it rained hard, we stayed under the strong canopies and played games, when it let up, we were out in the water floating and enjoying the day and dancing away the night!
