Each year on this date, dessert lovers across the United States enjoy a second “slice” of their favorite. The first, and more popular commemoration, falls on January 23rd – and neither has anything to with National Pi Day on March 14th. So “why pie?” If you take away ice cream as a dessert choice, most people are either cake people or pie people. Seriously...what else are we supposed to eat with ice cream! The best part, it’s not just a sweet treat – there are also savory pot pies to consider.
