Pickleball Paddle Review #11: I'll Bet You Know What I Think From the Photo

I got through ten paddle demos before I got to my first real clinker.

I checked out this Z5Graphite Wide Body paddle, because it looked like so many that I have seen on various courts. I hope this isn't the only Z5 model available- because this paddle is just awful! Not only does it feel awkward, but it delivers a wide variety of mishits. It has virtually no "sweet spot" at all! The worst part is...THE NOISE.

There are courts down in Rancho Bernardo where I have a friend who owns a rental condo where there are limitations on what paddles you can use, due to the noise. They must have had this paddle in mind when they made that rule.

If you get a ball hit near your head or you attempt a hard return of a ball near your head, this paddle is SO LOUD that it will make your ears ring!

This paddle is proof positive that you should NEVER invest your money in a paddle, because you see the logo on other people's paddles on the court.

It's another reason why embarking on a demo series before you buy an expensive paddle is a good idea.

If you need a 4th, I promise not to bring this noisemaker if I join you...
