Did The Dodgers Change Direction Yesterday?

There's no doubt about it, the Dodgers had a bad week last week. They lost 5 of 7, their bullpen melted down multiple times, and the bottom of the lineup couldn't hit water if they fell out of a barn!

Yesterday all that changed, mostly because of the clear Dodger ace for 2024.

Yes Ohtani broke the record for most home runs by a Japanese born player at 176.

Yes Will Smith was brilliant, both at the plate and behind the plate, throwing out the first 2 Mets who tried to steal.

Yes the bullpen didn't allow a run.

Yes rookie Andy Pages did something that rarely happens to ANY mlb player- he hit a double and a home run IN THE SAME INNING.

But the real star was Tyler Glasnow- He pitched 8 complete innings, struck out 10, and gave the bullpen much needed rest. He is clearly the Dodger ace for 2024 and should be in early conversations for the Cy Young.

The final score of the game was 10-0...and it wasn't that close!

The Dodgers are off today as the travel to the east coast to face the Nats tomorrow. Let's hope Sunbday's game is a sign of things to come.

Go Blue!
