The 41st Annual Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival is happening this weekend!
Before the festival started I was invited to a pre-festival media day to learn details about the weekend and to take a short tethered balloon ride.
The photos are below.
This was super fun and provided a great view of the valley around Lake Skinner. It also made me REALLY want to go for a FULL balloon ride someday! This weekend there are opportunities for you to go on a full balloon ride- just go to the website for details

A few things to remember if you are heading there this weekend.
Go early and beat the traffic. The later you arrive, the longer you'll wait to park.
You CAN bring chairs and blankets in. I suggest going in early and setting up your spot in front of the Casino Pauma Main Stage. People are friendly and you can leave your chairs and blankets and go walk around.
Don't be fooled by the cloudy mornings- it get VERY warm in the afternoon, so dress in layers so you can be cooler in the daytime and warmer at night as it does get way cooler when the sun goes down.
There are two stages, so don't miss out on the talent on the Wine stage too.
Wear comfortable footwear.. you'll be walking on uneven grass, dirt and asphalt, so be careful as you are walking around so you don't trip...especially after all that great local wine you'll be tasting.
Have fun!
