City of Temecula 18th Annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competition

– Plein Air Artists are invited to enjoy two weeks of painting scenic locations in the City of Temecula’s 18th Annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competition from FRI, JUL 25, 2025, through THU, AUG 7, 2025. The arts play a critical role in stimulating creativity and reflecting vibrant communities. They provide inspiration and enjoyment for residents, beautify shared spaces, enhance public places, and strengthen our social fabric. Plein Air artists are invited annually to paint various locations around the City of Temecula during the competition. Canvas submissions must be stamped from FRI, JUL 25, 2025, through FRI, AUG 7, 2025, to qualify for judging. Stamps for canvas submissions are available at select locations:  Temecula City Hall | CLOSED WEEKENDS 41000 Main Street, Temecula, CA 92590 MON ̶ FRI | 8:30 am ̶ 4:30 pm  Teen Zone @ Ronald J. Parks Community Recreation Center | SATURDAYS ONLY 30875 Rancho Vista Rd, Temecula, CA 92592 SAT, JUL 26 & AUG 2 | 12:00 pm ̶ 4:00 pm Artists may also choose to paint any of the following locations:  Old Town Temecula  Temecula Wine Country  Landmarks & Landscapes in Temecula All entries will be displayed at the Temecula Valley Museum in the Ralph Love Plein Air Exhibition from FRI, AUG 22, 2025 through SUN, SEP 28, 2025. A public awards ceremony and artist reception will be held on FRI, SEP 12, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Temecula Valley Museum. Awards will be announced at 6:00 pm, for First Place ($500), Second Place ($200), and Third Place ($100). Plein Air Artists may apply online at TemeculaCA.gov/Register and register for activity #9030.201. Registration is limited and there is a non-refundable application fee of $30.
