If you are concerned about your pet and fireworks scaring them into running off, this is an important message from the City of Lake Elsinore:
With the 4th of July around the corner, we kindly ask that our communities microchip their pets. Pets who get spooked by the noise can flee and end up in our shelter as strays. Registered microchips, which tell us the owner's phone number, make it significantly easier for us to reunite lost pets with their families.
Microchips are FREE - no matter which city you live in - through July 3. Don't forget to REGISTER the chip to your contact information once your pet has been microchipped!
