A massive shipment of lobster meat disappeared while in transit from a Massachusetts cold storage warehouse to Midwest Costco locations. Freight company Rexing Companies reported over 400-thousand dollars’ worth of lobster meat went missing after leaving the Taunton warehouse December 12th. The company believes the theft was organized crime involving a driver impersonating a legitimate carrier. The FBI is investigating, and it was the second seafood theft from the same warehouse this month.
