Here's What Prince Harry Said To Meghan Markle's Wedding Dress Designer

Meghan Markle stunned in her regal wedding dress, courtesy of Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy, during the royal wedding on Saturday (May 19) and Prince Harry was just as amazed by the silk gown as the rest of us. During the couple's lunchtime reception in St. George's Hall at Windsor Castle, the groom took some time to talk to the designer about the white ensemble.

“He came straight up to me and said, ‘Oh my God, thank you. She looks absolutely stunning,’” Waight Keller told reporters on Sunday in Windsor, as per PEOPLE. “I think everybody saw on television he was just absolutely in awe. I think she looked incredible.”

Waight Keller couldn't have been happier to be part of the affair, gushing, "She was just flowing after the ceremony. I think it was just such a special moment for the two of them. They are so in love. I was just thrilled to be part of it." As you may have expected, all had to be kept under wraps as Waight Keller’s family didn’t know she was designing the dress until May 19. “It was really a secret," the designer said of the entire project.

The lunchtime reception, which hosted about 600 guests, also featured a performance from Elton John, and it seems like the request for his number was made by Prince Harry. "Sir Elton John has performed at the Lunchtime Reception for guests celebrating the Wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle," Kensington Palace said in a statement on Saturday. "Prince Harry asked Sir Elton to perform at the Reception which was hosted by Her Majesty The Queen at St George's Hall, Windsor Castle. Sir Elton performed for the newly married couple in recognition of the close connection he has with Prince Harry and his family."
