Halestorm Reveal 'The Summit Of Everything We've Fought For'

Halestorm's gearing up to release their new album Everest and on Friday unleashed its title track.

“Our song ‘Everest’ is the summit of everything we’ve fought for — every scream, every scar, every triumph,” frontwoman Lzzy Hale said in a statement. “This album is us, louder and bolder, and more brutally honest than ever, standing tall in the face of the storm.”

"Everest" follows lead single "Darkness Always Wins." The album is slated for an August 8 release.

“Our album Everest is a story of our journey as a band, full of beautiful endings and new beginnings,” Hale said in a statement when the album was announced. “We weave a tangled web of melancholy, frustration, anger and the vast purgatory of love and love lost. It is a rollercoaster of epic musical detours, great songwriting and completely unhinged twists and turns. Everest is an auditory representation of the four pillars of Halestorm. Let us reintroduce ourselves and invite you into our world…if you dare.”

Halestorm is currently on tour with Iron Maiden in Europe and are planning to perform at Black Sabbath's "Back to the Beginning" final show celebration on July 5 before coming back to North America to support Volbeat and hit the road on a headlining tour.
