10 Questions Issue #1

This is our very first installment of 10 Questions. This is another way for you to get to know the artists we play on radio 94/5. I will be submitting these to local bands and "signed" artists as well.

I thought starting off this new feature with our 2017 Rising Star Champion would be the best way to start:

1) What is the name of the band? Dulaney and Company 

2) What are all the members names? Jerod Dulaney- lead vocals, guitar, songwriter Malissa Dulaney-lead vocals, dulcimer, songwriter Kyle Tormey- piano/keyboardTim Raether- bassJosh Weigel- lead guitarChad Dulaney- drums/percussion

3) What previous bands were any members in?  4) What bands or artists influenced you? Jerod- Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Grateful DeadMalissa- Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Elvis, Bob Dylan, Patsy Cline, Allison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt, Susan Tedeschi  

5) What was you first ever gig? Jerod- The “Q Club” in Temecula Malissa- singing “the dance” by Garth Brooks at Grandpa’s Funeral

6) What was your best ever gig? It’s a tie between opening for Blues Traveler and Opening for The Bacon Brothers 

7) What is best song you have ever written? Every song...until we write the next one.  

8) What do you hope to accomplish in the next year? Recording our dream album at Muscle Shoals Sound and Fame, getting national recognition, and being able to quit our “day jobs”.  

9) What artist would you most like to collaborate with? T-Bone Burnett or Warren Haynes 

10)  How would you describe your music? It’s a mix of Folk/Americana/Blues but we have a true mix of different styles fused together.
