In our continuing efforts to keep you informed about that possible loss of access to some of the public beaches in Mission Bay here is an update we received from the California Coastal Commission:
"I was informed that you requested an update on the Bahia Hotel expansion. The hotel is located within the Commission’s permit jurisdiction, so any expansion or other development occurring on the site will require review and approval of the Coastal Commission before proceeding. As the review is discretionary and open to the public, there will be a public hearing before any final decision is made.
At this time no formal application has been made by the Bahia for development, expansion or otherwise, and thus nothing is formally before the Commission to review and decide upon. Please let me know if you have any further questions."
