Friday July 20th marked the beginning of the summer concert series for Radio 94/5 and Harbour Productions...and it was a GREAT night!
The Forty Nineteens opened the show with a rockin' set that got the crowd moving and noisy. Then came the auction. Two generous bidders raised $3000 for charity when they won the bids for two guitars that the Fixx signed for them after the show.
The Fixx then embarked on a set the was their Reach the Beach album, in order, in it's entirety. The took a very brief break then came back for a full high energy second set that had everyone dancing and having a great time.
Afterwards band members remarked about how great it was to play at Wien's Family cellars and how it was one of the best venues of their entire tour.
I took our grand prize winner Mary Shanahan and her date backstage afterwords where the hung out with the band...
