Seeing an aircraft carrier moving on the water is always a big deal....but it's not always easy to tell just how massive these ships really are...
During a recent sail, we had the opportunity to see just how big, by taking a picture with a 40+ sailboat that was sailing near (a bit too near for safety), to show the scale of just how big these gigantic vessels really are.
A bit of advice...if you go sailing, don't try to get that close...or you'll hear a blast of the ships horn..and you might just get a visit by the navy harbor patrol....
