Friday Flashback- Wall of Voodoo

One of my oldest and dearest friends in the music world is Stan Ridgway. He was the main force behind the creation and success of Wall of Voodoo. It was hard when Stan left the band to pursue a solo career, but as the CD's from Stan rolled out...one great release after another, it was apparently that Stan had established himself as a solo artist.

Enter Andy Prieboy....though nowhere near the songwriter or story teller Stan is, Andy did carry on the Wall of Voodoo experience and had a hit with the band as well called "Far Side of Crazy"

The photo taken was of me backstage at the San Diego Sports Arena with the band during their final tour in 1987. After that the band broke up and Andy embarked on his own solo career.

Sadly 2 members of the band in the photo are no longer with us as Joe Nanini and Mark Moreland have both since passed away.
