City of Temecula's Youth Emergency Preparedness Program (YEPP)

The City of Temecula, in collaboration with FEMA, is excited to present the City’s second annual Youth Emergency Preparedness Program (YEPP). In addition to educating youth about emergency preparedness and all-hazardous events that affect our region (i.e. earthquakes, floods, droughts, fires, terrorism, etc.), participants of the program will receive hands on experience managing the City’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) via a simulated tabletop exercise. Not only will youth learn about regional hazards, they will also understand the decision making that takes place to ensure the continuity of essential City services in the event of a catastrophic emergency.

When: Thursday, July 18, 2019 (8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.)

Where: Emergency Operations Center (EOC) 41000 Main St. Temecula, CA 92590

Youth (Grades 9-12) will be provided with:

T-Shirt -Breakfast, Snacks and Lunch -Bag, Notebook, Pen -Community Service Hours -EOC Incident Simulation Training -Tour of Police Station and Fire Station
