I was very excited recently when I was about to experience my first massage in awhile...and that it was going to happen in the world famous Pechanga Spa.
The first thing, however, that I'd advise is to not just set aside the hour or so you will spend on the table being sailed away into a relaxation bliss, but plan on spending the entire day! When you book a massage (or other treatments), you also receive full access to all the amenities offered within the spa complex.
The whirlpool and the steam room are roomy and great, but my favorite was the sauna- so nice and set perfectly to extract those impurities and make you feel healthier by the minute....
If you choose to spend your time in the waiting room just adjacent to the massage suites, you be treated to fresh fruit and nuts and candies and tea and so much more to tickle your taste buds.
The spa itself has it's own private pool within the spa complex , so at anytime you are welcome to step outside and enjoy this tranquil pool area...cabanas are available as well.
I have posted some photos of my experience, but not during the massage- no work in those suites because the entire focus is on personal relaxation. My masseuse was both experienced and conscience of how I was reacting to each treatment. She knew just which knots in my muscle needed to be let loose and how to make that happen.
I finished my experience so relaxed that I returned lounge area (which has an indoor and outdoor balcony) and just sat in my overwhelming feeling of total relaxation bliss....I would have stayed even longer...but closing time came...so that was my cue to leave....another reason I say arrive early and stay long. You truly can't have too much of a good thing in the Pechanga Spa.
