Local artists are invited to participate in the City of Temecula’s 12th Annual Ralph Love Plein Air Competition taking place from Thursday, September 26 through Thursday, October 3, 2019.
Plein Air artists are invited to paint at various locations around the City of Temecula during the competition. This year’s contest locations are as follows:
· Old Town Temecula: Artist’s Choice of Old Town Site
· Temecula Parks: Artist’s Choice of Park
· Temecula Wine Country: Artist’s Choice of Winery
Canvas submissions must be stamped from Thursday, September 26 through Thursday, October 3, 2019, in order to begin painting and to qualify for judging. Stamps for canvas submissions are available inside the Temecula Valley Museum from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm (closed on Mondays).
All entries will be on display in The Gallery at The Merc from Wednesday, October 29 through Sunday, December 29, 2019. The public is invited to attend a free artist reception held on Friday, November 1, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, where the competition winners will be announced. This year’s awards will include: Best of Show / City Purchase Award ($500); 1st Place ($200); 2nd Place ($100); 3rd Place ($75).
