My Adventure at Launch Pointe Day 1: Taking It All In

I just finished off a great weekend adventure at Launch Pointe, the newest and greatest marina and campground on the north end of Lake Elsinore.

Day 1 was my day to check in and walk all around and check out all that Launch Pointe has to offer....and there is so much to see!

First, if you travel to Launch Pointe it is VERY easy to spot...the big beautiful entrance sign is impossible to miss. As you arrive you park before the office to check in. The check in is easy and the staff is incredibly helpful and you can tell right away that they all like where they work.

To call Launch Pointe a "campground" would not do it service. To me, Launch Pointe is a resort where you can can camp...big difference! The amenities are top shelf..whether it's the kids water park, the huge events building with a balcony that features an incredible view of the lake, or the spacious yurts, or the fantastic and nostalgic vintage trailer village, which is where my crew of Sandy, Marie, Amanda, and Chris all stayed for the weekend.

I walked over on night 1 and checked out the custom van show- with the coolest custom vans from the 60's and 70's.... and the 80's were represented by the live band that played til 10pm on the lawn out in front of the Bobber Restaurant. I did this after I watched LSU beat Alabama on the huge screen TV in the lobby building...Go Tigers!

As you can see in some of the photos below, the vintage trailers were a highlight of the weekend. Retro styling makes you feel like you are traveling back in time, but you also have very modern features..like AC and heat, and hot water in the showers. Add the super comfy beds to the roomy fridge and the fully functioning kitchen and you are "camping" in complete comfort..home away from home!

Coming up...Day 2 on the water on paddle boards...and Day 3 on the water in a boat...stay tuned for more pics...and video to come....
