Friday Flashback: Flying a Marchetti

A few years ago, I had the incredible experience of flying a an airplane called a Marchetti. It is a plane the military uses for dogfight training.

It has side by side seats and controls so I couldn't crash it, becuase I had an experienced training pilot sitting next to me.

I was however given almost complete control of the plan to spin and dive and dogfight with another "radio pilot" to see who could outduel the other.

When you fire the "guns" on this particualr airplane, it shoot a lazer and if the lazer hits the other plane a fake puff of smoke comes out to let you know you got a hit.

I had to take a training class beforehand, but it's well worth it... I had a blast!
