Throwback Thursday: On This Day 2 Years Ago- Now They Are Re-Opened (pics)

On this day 2 years ago, my friends and I spent an entire day touring all the ships at the San Diego Maritime Museum in the Embarcadero waterfront.

From the Star of India, to the deep sea research submarine, to the Cabrillo ship replica we had a great time going back in history in many different eras.

Now these tours are back open for you to enjoy too...and I would highly recommend it!

Couple of tips....

Make sure you set aside a few hours....there is so much to see, you could spend an entire day there easily.

Wear comfortable shoes. There is tricky stairways and gang planks to walk on.

Dress in layers. It may be cool outside, but when you go below decks (especially in the submarines) it gets a bit stuffy and hot.
