This was my very first car, very shortly after I bought it....from my mom.
Yes, I had to buy it, and no it was not given to me.
Of course it was not new either....but since back then I was sort of into hot rods, I almost immediately went about "upgrading" my 1971 Nova.
At the point this photo was taken I had just put a new set of rims and tires on it. In future years I would replace the engine, put on a hood scoop and repaint the car...lots of changes after these photos..
But I'll save all that for another blog...
