Dwight's Daily Dose of New Music: Here's a Spoon-Full In Case You Missed it

In case you just missed it, today's Dose features a new song from Spoon.

It's called "Wild"

Here's the info we got from the Beggars group:

In the lead up to their forthcoming new album Lucifer On the Sofa, out February 11 (Matador Records),Spoon share Wild,” a celebratory and anthemic song about finding one’s way from cashed out depths back into a vivid world full of color and life.

Wild” is the second track that Spoon have revealed off of Lucifer On The Sofa. Like “The Hardest Cut” before it, the song captures the sound of a band cracking things open and letting it all spill out onstage.

Lucifer On the Sofa was co-produced by Spoon and Mark Rankin (Adele, Queens of the Stone Age). It’s the band’s purest rock ’n roll record to date. Texas-made, it is the first set of songs that the quintet has put to tape in its hometown of Austin in more than a decade and bottles the physical thrill of a band tearing up a packed room. It’s an album of intensity and intimacy, where the music’s harshest edges feel as vivid as the directions quietly murmured into the mic on the first take. According to frontman Britt Daniel, “It’s the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton.”

If you are an artist looking to get on the radio, now is your chance. Send your music to the Facebook page in a pm along with info about your band.
