There is a series on HBO that started up recently that I find very interesting. I'm a big fan of series that cover certain time periods, whether it's the 1960's Business culture in the series Mad Men or the late 1880's which carries the them that is the title of this new series... "The Gilded Age".
Life was so different as technology was so far less developed than now...and yet fashion was much more developed.
The series stars Christine Baranski and Cynthia Nixon and feature high drama in business and society in that era.
We're already halfway through the first season and HBO has already announced there will be a season 2.
Most of the series revolves around the attempted rise in society of the "new money" railroad family called the Russell's. They are ruthless in their climb and the "old money" is equally as ruthless to try and stop their climb.
Binge watch and catch up, if this interests you...it'll be worth it...
