Last weekend I start watching the new series on Showtime called "Super Pumped: The Battle For Uber".
There's only been one episode, but I've already noticed some good, and a little bad about the series.
Let's do the "Bad" first. There isn't much to complain about. Getting people to watch a movie about Uber must be tough to start, and it seems like they want to borrow a lot from the Leonardo DiCaprio character Jordon Belfort in the Wolf of Wall Street in the way they present the main character played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt Hopefully they won't lean on that too much as the series moves forward.
The good comes from the story telling about the individual characters. I don't know how much the story claims to be accurate, but you do get a feel for the vulnerability of the the main characters and the ending of Episode 1 does make you want to come back for more episodes...
It's hard to compete with the other Sunday shows I watch and have...or will review soon... "Billions" and "The Walking Dead", but I'll stick with this one for now.
Below are the trailer and preview of the first season.
