The Dodgers have the best record in baseball so far in this very young season, but there schedule before tonight was against 3 teams that didn't make the post season last year and probably won't this year either.
Tonight the Dodgers got the team that knocked them out of the post season last year and won it all: The Atlanta Braves.
The same Braves that got the former Dodger closer Kenley Jansen.
But the Dodgers got the 12 year star of the Braves by signing Freddie Freeman in the offseason.
...and Freddie delivered against his old team. In his first at bat, Freddie slammed his first home run of the season against his old team.
the Dodgers charged out to a 6-0 lead. But Atlanta isn't the twins, or the Reds. The Braves are World Series Champs. They didn't go away. They came back to within 2 as the Dodger lead was only 5-4 in the 8th.
But Bellinger homered in the 8th and Kimbrel closed out the 9th and the Dodgers took the first game of the series.
