I won't lie to you- the new album from Bjork is a challenge to listen to. She has always been quirky and strange, but somewhere along the lines all adult supervision has been missing from this new album. I'll play about a minute and a half of the only listenable (however totally repetitive) title track called "Fossora" this morning to give you the best "taste" of the album.
There are brief moments of brilliance on this new album, but there is just too much self-indulgence to recommend it.
I like Bjork. I like her creativity. But being strange for the sake of it does not make for great listening.
I do think you'll enjoy what I am playing for you this morning though....so listen to it and wish that the Sugarcubes were still a band.
