Veteran's Day: Proud of My Father (RIP) Who Served

The photo here is of my father (RIP) as he went in to the service in 1944 at age 18.

Although he did not see combat, he was stationed in Texas and did guard German prisoners of war.

He was in training later to be a part of an invasion force as a paratrooper in 1945, but luckily the U.S. did not have to invade Japan as thankfully, WW2 came to an end.
