I'm fresh off my second trip to Cabo in the last 2 months! I love the place and I'm going to share with you, in this multi-part series, some of the highlights of my trip with suggestions should you choose to travel there. Important note: I did NOT receive any service or product free of charge or at a discount. Everything I write about I paid the same price that you would if you went to Cabo.
The last time I traveled to Cabo I was told about a very reputable place to get a massage downtown that was very affordable. I looked and looked and couldn't find it, so I missed out on what was one aspect of my vacation that I was looking forward to...
This time I got a GREAT tip from my friend Shannon- She told me when she and her husband went to Cabo they went to The Sand Bar every other day the place was that good! The price was great as well. $36 for 60 mins and $49 for 90 mins (plus tip). So I was very excited I'd be able to relax with a massage when I traveled to Cabo this time!
The Sand Bar is different from a normal "spa". if you are looking for indoor super quiet and exclusive, this may not be for you. For me I actually enjoyed the fact that we were outdoors (under a roof) and I could hear the sounds of waves hitting the shore and the music playing from the cantina down below us.
If you are super shy, this might not be your place, as the massage area has rows of tables so others will be around you. For me it was totally fine as after the massage started I was completely unaware of anyone else around. The Sand Bar is also very careful to make sure that all patrons are covered at all times...so you aren't likely to be exposed to any personal "tmi"...
I chose the 90 minute massage...three times! That's how great they are! Thorough, respectful, and they will take direction on exactly how and at what level, you'd like to experience your massage.
If you get there earlier than your appointment time, or want to relax and stay afterword, the cantina downstairs is excellent.
...and the views are EPIC from all areas.
Stay tuned for my next Cabo Blog ... coming soon!
