MY WEEKEND!
We kicked the weekend off at Blackstar Campout, a Volkswagen Bus and Bug event. Thousands of busses and bugs and all sorts of VW’s come out for a four day long campout. There’s buying and selling of car parts and all things camping, and there’s also live entertainment and raffles to win prizes. I like to find old coleman lanterns and refurbish them, and then resell them.
We cut the weekend short and hit the San Diego County Fair. (We still call it the Del Mar Fair!) They had free shirts, fun fair food, and a really cool butterfly exhibit that was only a few bucks to get in. They give you a sweet syrup on a q-tip and let you go inside the room and they swarm you! All types, colors, and sizes. We also checked out the games and won a goldfish, who we named sheila, and she’s now happily living in a 15 gallon tank. Thanks for the opportunity to share!
