For my "Temecula Valley Tuesday" edition of The Dose, I am featuring an artist from Murrieta. The song is is called "Alchemy"
Here's the info from Raven Quinn:
Having been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2015, ultimately beating it, and remaining in management treatment to prevent a recurrence until Summer of 2022, Raven Quinn has had many profound experiences in recent years to pour into her songwriting. All of which helped make the release of her latest studio album "Alchemy" even more meaningful. "Alchemy" invites the listener into a tale of overcoming the darkness of tragedy, personal victory, and the transformative magic that comes with a second chance.
"Alchemy" sees Quinn return to the studio with Juno award winning/Grammy-nominated producer, engineer, and guitarist Dan Brodbeck (DOLORES O'RIORDAN, THE CRANBERRIES) who also helmed the console for Quinn's 2010 self-titled debut album "Raven Quinn" and her 2014 sophomore follow-up "Not In Vain", after being introduced to Quinn through a mutual friend; iconic Cranberries front-woman Dolores O'Riordan. Brodbeck has once again stepped into the roles of producer, engineer, multi-instrumentalist, and co-writer for "Alchemy" with Quinn taking on the roles lyricist, lead/background vocals, and melodies/harmonies.
"Alchemy" also marks the return of legendary guitarist George Lynch (DOKKEN, KXM) to Quinn's music, as Lynch contributes to four tracks on the album; "Nocturne", "Alchemy", "Flicker" and "Iron Fist Velvet Glove". Previously, Quinn's 2010 self-titled debut featured Lynch's guitar work on seven tracks, as well as drums by Josh Freese (FOO FIGHTERS, NINE INCH NAILS, A PERFECT CIRCLE) and found notable success on both Amazon MP3 and iTunes sales charts and in the popular Harmonix video game, Rock Band.
