The world lost a unique character last weekend. A man who made a fantastic living ...by being a slacker. Jimmy Buffet epitomized the lazy fun lifestyle. He lived it. He made millions singing about it. Now headed to the big Margaritaville in the sky, Jimmy sang about the simple pleasures of the life of leisure like eating a "Cheeseburger in Paradise" or always knowing it was "5 O'clock Somewhere".
His attitude and music created a nation of parrot heads who followed him on tour like Deadheads di with their favorite band. But instead of dropping acid in the parking lot before shows colorful island flavored adult beverages were consumed and unusual cloths were worn- You can see some of that in the photos of my first (not knowing it was my last) adventure to the Jimmy Buffet concert at Snapdragon stadium.
I'm glad I made it...so now I can share the memories with all the many other Buffet fans around the world.
