Dwight's Daily Dose of New Music: Temecula Valley Tuesday w Daring Greatly

Today's Dose features, once again, a band that has played several times in the Temecula Valley and will again in the new year.

Tune in to the Dose early in the 9am hour to hear the new single from Daring Greatly called "Up In Smoke"

Here's info from and about the band:

"Daring Greatly” is a young original band on the rise that blends the sounds of classic Canadian rock and American folk. This five-piece band is well known for their vocal harmonic choruses and raucous rock jams, which is further accredited to the 9 years that they have been together (not to mention the two brothers have been singing on stage since together they were 3 and 5 years old). Their live show is energetic and engaging, and their songwriting is heartfelt and honest. They are perfect for any venue looking for an opening/headlining act with crossover appeal – they have opened for large touring acts such as Bon Jovi, The Doobie Brothers, Sublime, Midland, Devin Dawson and were on the bill with Zac Brown Band and Kings of Leon at this November's Wonderfront festival in San Diego last year.https://wonderfrontfestival.com/artist-spotight/daring-greatly/

Daring Greatly, the band known for their electrifying blend of rock and soul, has today released two distinct singles, "Easy on The Eyes" and "Up in Smoke," captivating fans with their signature dynamism and depth.

"Easy on The Eyes" bursts onto the scene as an irresistible southern rock sensation. Echoing the greats like Blackberry Smoke, it’s a track laden with powerful backbeats and electric guitar riffs. The song is an alchemy of David Mills' and Liam Croome's musical genius, with lyrics and melodies that paint a vivid picture of love's complexities. Liam Croome's evocative vocals drive the track, delivering each word with an intensity that's both raw and refined.

Up in Smoke" shifts gears into a poignant narrative woven with acoustic warmth and rock's fiery passion. Conjuring the spirit of The Black Crowes, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Pearl Jam, Patrick Croome’s insightful lyrics and soulful delivery ponder life's winding roads. This track is a tapestry of rich stories, inviting listeners on a journey of reflection and revelation.

Lyrics Preview:
"Up in smoke feeling low
Tryin not to choke
Where did I go wrong
To make it all go up in smoke..."

Both singles showcase the band's musical versatility, meticulously mixed and produced by David Mills, with Matt Spatol as co-producer, and finely mastered by Joe Bozzi. The resulting sound is an aural feast that solidifies Daring Greatly's reputation for sonic excellence.

Daring Greatly's unique sound—the result of the harmonious collaboration between Liam Croome, David Mills, Patrick Croome, Brayden Tario, and Matt Spatol—radiates throughout both tracks. The band's latest offerings reflect a journey that’s constantly rising, daring, and defying the ordinary.

As 'Easy on The Eyes' and 'Up in Smoke' echo through all major streaming platforms, fans are encouraged to immerse themselves in the vibrant evolution of Daring Greatly's music. Looking back on a series of electrifying live performances, including the Soda Bar in San Diego, Ulysses in New York, and an invigorating opening slot for Dalton & the Sheriffs at Boston's House of Blues, the band's presence on stage has proven to be nothing short of spellbinding. Be sure to experience the magic firsthand at their upcoming shows: on Saturday, November 11th in Carlsbad, California, followed by a highly anticipated performance at the Old Town Blues Club on November 29th, where tickets are swiftly being snapped up! And for those ringing in the New Year with Daring Greatly, join them at the Belly Up in Solana Beach on January 11th.

Following their "Song of the Year" win at the 2023 San Diego Music Awards, and with nominations for "Best Rock Artist" and "Best Rock Album," Daring Greatly's ascent in the rock hierarchy is unyielding. Their odyssey from Calgary, Alberta, to the heart of San Diego's music scene is a testament to their dedication to craft and community.
