City of Temecula Announces Military Banner & Path of Honor Paver Program

The City of Temecula appreciates and respects the service and commitment of all those who have served our country in the Armed Forces. To honor these selfless individuals, Temecula has created two programs to recognize both active-duty military personnel and Veterans.

Military Banner Program (TemeculaCA.gov/BannerProgram) The Military Banner Program honors and recognizes active-duty military personnel residing in or related to immediate family living in the City of Temecula. Banners will display the official military photo of the service person, as well as their name, rank, and branch of the United States Armed Forces. All Military Banners will be located throughout Old Town Main and Front Streets and the Civic Center Plaza. They are installed periodically throughout the year and will be displayed for a period of eight to nineteen months depending upon installation date. Banners will be presented to the honoree (or applicant) at the City’s Annual Veterans Day Event. There is no charge for this program and Banners may be requested year-round.

Path of Honor (TemeculaCA.gov/Path) The steps leading to the Letters Home Memorial and the access ramp are dedicated as Temecula’s Path of Honor, located at the Temecula Duck Pond (28250 Ynez Road). Temecula’s Path of Honor is a place to remember and honor Veterans from the US Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, and the WWII Merchant Marines who served our country. Please consider memorializing the service of a family member, friend, or yourself to last for generations. Pavers cost $185, and these donations ensure that the pavers will be there for us to remember service members in perpetuity. Orders may be placed year-round and are consolidated, engraved, and placed on the path annually each November. The deadline to reserve your 2024 paver is Friday, August 9, 2024.
