Day one at the festival was sunny and fun and featured 3 bands that Radio 94/5 regularly plays- Lit, Fuel, and Stone Temple Pilots. So of course this was my day to go!
The bands were great the wine tasting was "generous" and fun, and I have a few recommendations for those of you going to Day 2 or Day 3:
Go early and beat the traffic. The later you arrive, the longer you'll wait to park.
You CAN bring chairs and blankets in. I suggest going in early and setting up your spot in front of the Casino Pauma Main Stage. People are friendly and you can leave your chairs and blankets and go walk around.
Don't be fooled by the cloudy mornings- it get VERY warm in the afternoon, so dress in layers so you can be cooler in the daytime and warmer at night as it does get way cooler when the sun goes down.
There are two stages, so don't miss out on the talent on the Wine stage too.
Wear comfortable footwear.. you'll be walking on uneven grass, dirt and asphalt, so be careful as you are walking around so you don't trip...especially after all that great local wine you'll be tasting.
Have fun!
