Shohei Shines But NL Loses All Star Game

Shohei Ohtani had made history by becoming the first player to start four straight Midsummer Classics as a designated hitter. He drew a walk against AL starter Corbin Burnes in his first trip to the plate, but his second plate appearance proved to be far more impactful.

He blistered at 400 foot homerun off Tanner Houck of the Red Sox giving the National League a 3-0 lead as Juan Soto and Aaron Boone (who did NOT homer) of the Yankees watch the ball fly over their head. But the high powered Philly players didn't contribute offensively at all and that's the only runs the National League would score as they lost 5-3.

Video of that homer is here.
