Study Says Coffee May Reduce Dementia Risk in Hypertensive People

I'm feeling a lot better about coffee being part of my day every morning no matter where I am (in Aruba in the photo):

A new study claims that moderate coffee and tea drinking could help people with high blood pressure from developing dementia. The study, published on September 10, followed 450,000 participants and followed up on a 2001 study that found a decrease in the risk of dementia among coffee and tea drinkers. It was found that moderate consumption of caffeinated ground coffee had the most protective effect, followed by instant coffee, with decaf having the least effect. Studies that follow up on an earlier study relied on self-reporting of how coffee was consumed, so there was no definition of a "cup" of coffee. The study also didn't make clear the difference between "moderate" and "heavy" consumption. Source: dailycoffeenews.com
