Taking off your shoes at the airport may soon be a thing of the past, after nearly two decades of the practice. Multiple news sources say the TSA has sent an internal memo to security officers about testing the new policy in a soft launch at security checkpoints. Several locations where shoes will no longer need to come off include Baltimore/Washington International Airport, New York's LaGuardia, L-A-X, Philadelphia International Airport and Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
San Diego didn't make this list, nor did Orange County...so in most cases, for now, where those slip-ons just in case...
