My absolute favorite toys as a kid were Hot Wheels. My dad used to save them up because he got a free Hot Wheel with each tank of gas he bought, and my mom and other relatives always gave me Hot Wheels for my birthday or Christmas.
Now these classic toys that are still be sold today are going to be featured in a movie.
Jon M. Chu is set to direct a live-action "Hot Wheels" movie for Warner Bros. The filmmaker behind the hits "Crazy Rich Asians" and "In the Heights" says he's "excited to create an adventure that honors Hot Wheels' legacy while driving it somewhere entirely new." According to a news release, the film will showcase "some of the world's hottest and sleekest vehicles," however, plot details haven't been revealed just yet.
Since I have yet to grow up or out of Hot Wheels (I have quite the collection now), I will want to go see this movie for sure!
