Guest Blogger Victoria Vaughn Reviews Recent Concert at Hemet Theater

Occasionally, I invite a writer to guest blog about something local and meaningful to Temecula. Here's a great guest blog:

SugarFix/The Snobs feat. Nuno Bettencourt and Marco Minnemann

The Rock and Roll Dungeon Podcast is keeping Rock Alive! They set the stage at the Historic Hemet Theater on October 11th celebrating the 50th Anniversary with a night of LIVE ROCK and a screening of KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park!

This show was reminiscent of my nights at the Agora Ballroom in New Haven, CT to see Twisted Sister and Toad’s Place to see Faith No More before they played Arenas. If you were lucky, you could hang out with bands like Warrant, Van Halen, and The Rolling Stones who would show up before or after their shows at the New Haven Colosseum.

Arriving for Soundcheck, I was able to see the night unfold. The Green Room buzzed with preshow excitement. In the theater, the Stage Screen flashed the line-up SugarFix, The Snobs with guests Nuno Bettencourt and Marco Minnemann. When the doors opened, the KISS Army was ready to Party!

SugarFix, a Band that Dwight Arnold and I have been talking about since the 2025 Murrietta Rocktoberfest opened the show. Liv Beall (vocals) in her sequin Jumpsuit commanded the stage with the likes of Rock Goddess Lita Ford and the band Ryder Beall (drums), Emma Marshall (guitar), Sam Marshall (bass), and Logan Sonstein (guitar), were in full force Rock’n with her.  They mixed the set with originals including their released single “My Roman Empire” https://youtu.be/T9zZkLk_Zzc?si=IKMqQ5I6wO9lK67Q and a few covers paying tribute to KISS and other iconic Rock Influences. With the guidance of Chris Beall (Drummer) (Dad) Warrant, Brett Michaels and his Band Swerve, adding Jerry Dixon (Bass) Warrant, Nuno Bettencourt, (Guitar) Extreme, Marco Minneman (Drummer) The Aristocrats, and the support of family and friends, there is no doubt these Teens are the Next Generation of Rockstars! https://sugarfixband.com/. Don’t miss their next show so you can say you saw them too!

Next up was The Snobs. I also saw The Snobs for the first time at the 2025 Murrietta Rocktoberfest with a slightly different lineup.  This group of guys have the camaraderie of a Brotherhood. Subbing (not Snobbing) for Robert Renzoni was Salvatore Spinelli with powerhouse vocals, Nuno Bettencourt and Marco Minnemann, whose talents need no introduction, Jason Ewig, a seasoned Snob Guitar Player, and with Logan from SugarFix staying on the stage along with the drumming transitions between Marco and Ryder from SugarFix, the heat was up for their set of Rock!
