It's Christmas Eve today, and I am thinking of my mom, who passed away in 2017. Rather than the sadness of her being gone, I am revisiting some of our great holiday memories together. I was lucky, I have many waonderful emeories to think of when I remember Mom.
Back in the early 2010's a family freind (Thank you Cindy) invite my mom and I do join their famil for their Christmas Eve tradition: A large family gathering to make dozens and dozens of tamales for the holiday.
Cindy was kind enough to train my mom on how to make them, and Mom had so much fun, she wanted to come back the next couple of year...and Cindy was kind enough to allow us to return so mom could enjoy that annual event.
