March 31st is World Backup Day! Gone are the days when all your most precious items were safely stored under Grandpa Chuck’s mattress in his cabin in Nantucket. No – today all your valuables are your computer. And that’s pretty scary, because 10% of computers are infected with viruses each month. Please – don’t be an April fool tomorrow, and back up your files on March 31st. People are taking the pledge all over Facebook and Twitter: “I solemnly swear to backup my important documents and precious memories on March 31st. I will also tell my friends and family about World Backup Day – friends don’t let friends go without a backup.”
