City of Temecula Introduces New Flags of Honor Program

Here's the info from the City of Temecula:

The City of Temecula is proud to introduce Flags of Honor, a new program that offers community members a meaningful way to recognize the service and sacrifice of military personnel. Through this program, sponsored American flags will be displayed along the perimeter of the Temecula Duck Pond during Memorial Day and Veterans Day, creating a powerful visual tribute to those who have served our country.

In observance of Memorial Day, residents may sponsor a flag in honor of military personnel who lost their lives in service, or in remembrance of veterans who have passed on. Applications are now open at TemeculaCA.gov/Veterans and will be accepted through SUN, MAY 3, 2026. The Memorial Day flag display will be on view from MON, MAY 18, 2026 through MON, JUN 1, 2026. Information about the Veterans Day display is also available online. Each sponsored flag is available for a nominal fee of $30 and will include a personalized dedication card. At the conclusion of the display, sponsors will have the opportunity to take home both the flag and dedication card as a keepsake. Memorial Day sponsors are also invited to participate in the City of Temecula’s 4th of July Parade, walking the parade route with their flag as a tribute to their honored service member.
