A new study from the Medical University of South Carolina is raising concerns about fish oil supplements. Scientists found that in people with repeated head injuries omega-three fatty acids in fish oil may actually interfere with brain's ability to repair itself. They say it weakens blood vessel stability, disrupts healing signals and adds to harmful protein buildup tied to cognitive decline.
So be careful about fish oil if you have a habit of banging your head against something....or be careful not to hit your head against something....
